Gary Phillis

Bio
Gary Phillis, Jr. got a start in the HVAC industry while still attending high school in 1977. He began by sweeping up the shop at a local Beaverton company, where he learned fabrication, then installation, layout and design. When he discovered his God-given gift as a salesman in the 1990s, he rose through the ranks to become one of the top sellers of residential HVAC in the Pacific Northwest. In fact, Gary began a new construction division for a Portland company and soon built it into a $3 million per year division.
Gary is a relationship-driven person who provides customers with value and quality, and for years he longed to start his own HVAC company. He desired to manage a company where he could treat employees and customers according to his core values: integrity, compassion, and mutual respect. In August of 2004, Gary finally felt led by the Lord to found Pyramid Heating and Cooling with his wife, Jane. Gary’s son, Nathan, joined the team immediately, and Pyramid began to flourish. In less than fifteen years, Pyramid Heating and Cooling has grown from a small mom-and-pop shop of four people to one of the largest HVAC companies in Portland with about 100 employees. As Gary has always said, “As long as the Lord keeps bringing us more business and good people, Pyramid will keep growing!”
As the founders of Pyramid Heating and Cooling, and as believers that they are incredibly blessed with all the Lord has provided, Gary and Jane desire to see those employed by Pyramid thrive. They want Pyramid Heating and Cooling to always lead the industry by providing the highest quality of work, and they believe this can be done by providing top-of-the-industry benefits, ongoing training, individual employee growth, and job satisfaction. Gary and Jane want Pyramid to be THE number-one choice for HVAC customers AND employees!
