One of the surest signs of business success is continual, ongoing operations as the years go by. In an industry like heating and cooling where there are so many different options, being able to sustain business day after day as the years go by takes an unending commitment to customer service, outstanding effort, and support from the community the business serves.
That’s why Pyramid Heating & Cooling was extremely proud to celebrate our 15th year in business this past September! Over these past 15 years, we’ve learned a lot about how we can serve our customers better, and we’re thrilled to have built a reputation for excellence in all aspects of what we do. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without the trust of those who turn to us when they need help, as well as the ongoing effort and dedication of the men and women who make up our team of HVAC experts.
So how do you celebrate your 15th year in business? By giving back to the community that has so readily embraced us! We ran a competition on our social media where our customers could choose a local charity that would receive a donation from us. After some intense voting, the ultimate winner was Girls Build, a local charity which teaches and nurtures valuable building skills to young girls. With the number of available technicians in the home services industry dwindling at an alarming rate and a distinct lack of women technicians involved in these trades, we couldn’t think of a better and more deserving initiative. We were proud to donate $1,500 to the cause, celebrating our 15 years in business.
About Girls Build
Girls Build is an organization on a mission to inspire curiosity and confidence in girls through the world of building. The organization runs a variety of programs ranging from after-school options to weekend programming and even week-long summer camps designed for girls ages 8-14. Through these programs, girls are taught the basics of building, including skills in trades and practices like carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, concrete, sheet metal, and so much more.
Throughout these programs, young ladies are introduced to and taught valuable skills for tools including drills, saws, cutters, grinders, and more. Through these activities, they not only receive hands-on experience with these tools, but also learn proper safety, etiquette, and operating procedures to ensure they can accomplish their task effectively and with confidence. These programs demonstrate just how enjoyable building can be, and often show young ladies for the first time that building skills are for everyone—not just the boys.
For some, these skills inspire a passion that may turn into a career, but for all of them these skills become valuable tools that they’ll be able to take with them for the rest of their lives. Many homeowners lack even basic repair and maintenance skills needed to keep a home working and in good repair, and Girls Build wants to help as many young ladies as possible make sure they never have to face this problem.
