To enhance the lives of others through indoor comfort.
We are a family-owned organization helping customers create an indoor environment that is healthy, comfortable, energy efficient and environmentally-friendly. We continue to serve our customers long-term by providing residential and commercial service and maintenance on all their heating and cooling equipment, along with auxiliary products to meet all their comfort needs; indoor air products, humidifiers, water heaters, fireplaces, exhaust fans and appliances. With Pyramid, no job is too small and customers are treated with care and integrity all the way through their process.
We are in the business of building relationships through Trust, Respect, Value and Quality.
Gary Phillis, Jr. started in the HVAC industry while still attending high school in 1977. He began by sweeping the shop for a local Beaverton company where he learned fabrication, installation, and layout and design. When he discovered his God-given gift as a salesman in the 90s, he rose through the ranks to become one of the top sellers of residential HVAC in the Pacific Northwest. Gary began a new construction division for a Portland company during which time he built it into a $3 million per year division. Gary is a relationship-driven person who provides customers with value and quality, and longed for years to have a company where he could treat employees and customers with integrity. In August of 2004, Gary finally felt led by God to found Pyramid Heating and Cooling with his wife Jane. Gary’s son Nathan joined the team immediately, and Pyramid began to flourish. In less than twelve years Pyramid Heating and Cooling has grown from literally a small mom-and-pop shop of four people to one of the largest HVAC companies in Portland with over 100 employees. As Gary has always said, “As long as God keeps bringing us more business and good people, Pyramid will keep growing!”
Born in Portland, Oregon Nathan Phillis has spent his professional career contributing to the improvement of the HVAC industry. Nathan began his career in 2001 and spent his time mastering his craft in residential new construction. In 2003, Nathan became a project manager, attended duct design courses and began changing the landscape in Portland’s HVAC market indefinitely. In 2004, Nathan joined his father to build Pyramid and in 2009 acquired partial ownership. He has been nationally recognized in case studies for his duct design innovation and is responsible for influencing multiple builders to adopt the tremendous energy saving designs of interior ducting. In 2013, Nathan was a guest speaker on Energy Experts at the Carrier National Conference.
Nathan, his wife Crystal and their two children, continue to support their local community, and give back to the place they call home.
